Useful information:

A screwdriver bit is a tool installed in a collet or conventional cam cartridge. It has a cross-shaped or flat tip. Thanks to this bit you can quickly twist a screw in any place where you can crawl with it. Bits are made of special high-strength steel therefore they have long service life and ensure quality performance in any working conditions.

Depending on their design and shape, bits can be divided into several types:

  • Conventional ones with a usual tip. This is a traditional screwdriver or drill tip. It can be installed in collet or cam self-locking chucks.
  • Bits with limiter PH2. They are designed specially to perform high-quality drywall installation without damaging material what usually happens if a conventional tip is used.
  • Bits are made from S2 tool steel which provides their durability and wear resistance.
  • Magnet holders. These are the same bits with or without a limiter but alloy steel has magnetic properties, so it is easier to perform installation works in hard-to-reach places where there is no way to work with two hands.

Selection and operation guide
When deciding to buy a screwdriver bit for installation works with conventional or self-tapping screws, you should keep in mind the following:

  • Length. There are several types of bits on the market that differ not only in their shape but also in their length.
  • If you install drywall, you’d better to choose bits with a limiter and a magnetic head. This will significantly speed up and facilitate performance.
  • Alloy and its hardness. The higher it is, the more durable a bit is. As a rule, bits are made of S2 tool steel which ensures both mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
